We’re aware some Tameside Community Response Service (CRS – telecare) customers have been contacted by a company claiming their telecare pendant alarms needs to be urgently upgraded and requesting upfront payment.

This is NOT CRS, they will never ask for personal or bank details over the phone.

Steps you can take if you receive a text or call that you’re not expecting:

1. Stop and think – could this be a scam? Read carefully and look for any details that don't seem right.

2. Don't click on any links or give out any personal or bank details.
